Impact Initiatives are giving opportunities that President Leocadia I. Zak has identified to target and strengthen the college’s highest priorities. The current priorities are the restoration of Agnes Scott "Main" Hall (the college's most historic building), the Campus Technology Fund (ensures the college has the technology essential for effective and innovative teaching and learning), and the Campus Social Justice Fund (enhanced diversity, equity, and inclusion programming and activities). You can also make an unrestricted gift to support current Impact Initiatives. Read more about Impact Initiatives below.
Renovation of Agnes Scott "Main" Hall
Long-known as the heart of the college, Main Hall is the building that Scotties recognize as a marker of home which helps to shape their educational experience. The restoration of Main Hall, the oldest building on campus and const is the focus of the Campaign for Main with the goal to raise $31.8 million. The renovation of this historic structure will reconfirm it as an example of technological, residential, building sustainability and operational innovation that marks the academic and student experience for Scotties today. The continued student enrollment growth has increased the urgency of Main's restoration and philanthropic investments are the key to realizing the vision for this beloved campus icon. See more on the Campaign for Main webpage.
Campus Technology Fund
In order for students to have an enriching online/remote educational experience, faculty and staff across campus worked for months to develop new, engaging virtual courses and co-curricular experiences that are innovative and impactful through the increased use of technology. We must continue to upgrade the college’s academic and administrative systems and the infrastructure including hardware and software that support them to ensure that the college continues to provide a meaningful and high-quality education to all of our students. Gifts made to the Campus Technology Fund are part of The Fund for Agnes Scott.
Campus Social Justice Fund
Agnes Scott fosters an inclusive campus-one that embraces, understands and supports every student from the very first day they step on campus. The social unrest experienced across the country in response to issues of police brutality and racism represent an opportunity to enhance our social justice initiatives and diversity, equity and inclusion programming to more fully live our mission to “engage the intellectual and social challenges of our times.” By enhancing the student experience through creative and dynamic programming as well as increased outreach, learning and research opportunities, the college will remain a beacon of innovation, inspiration and impact for our students and the world. Gifts made to the Campus Social Justice Fund are part of The Fund for Agnes Scott.
Thank you for helping Agnes Scott Engage the Challenge, Together, by making a gift to our impact initiatives! Donors can make an online one-time gift on this page or make a monthly recurring gift via our online Giving Form.
